Travelling To The Potato Event

By Car

If you're using a satnav or route planner, please use the postcode HG2 8QZ.
The British Potato Event will be signposted on major approaches.
There will be ample free parking onsite – please follow signage on arrival.

Limited disabled parking is available adjacent to the halls by arrangement – please call 01778 395020 for details.

By Train

Harrogate is located midway between Leeds and York, with regular commuter train services on the local line. See www.nationalrail.co.uk for timetables.
The Yorkshire Event Centre (YEC) is  about 2 miles from Harrogate train station, where taxis and buses are available to complete your journey.

Hornbeam Park station is about 1.5 miles the site, but there are no taxis available at this station without pre-booking. The station is connected to the YEC by a new Showground Greenway so if you'd prefer a short walk or cycle, directions are here: https://eventcentre.co.uk/directions/.

By Air

Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA) is the closest airport to the Yorkshire Event Centre (13 miles). For more information on flights see: www.leedsbradfordairport.co.uk

Transfer from the airport is possible by taxi or the Airport Direct 737 bus runs hourly and will drop you off at Harrogate bus station, from where you can take a taxi or the 770 bus to the showground.
